ABOUT ME

Yumika Alina's Facebook profile

My name is Yumika. I was born on the 11th of February 1986 which makes me 23 years old this year (I'm so old T.T). I just started to lead a donkey life as a Trainee Software Engineer.. Since I am only a trainee, I am still very poor. Yumika is a boring person who sits with her laptop almost 24/7 watching dramas, animes and busybody-ing on others' blogs. She loves to eat very much which makes her looks rounder and rounder day by day. Btw, she is craving for pastas recently (and always). Yumika loves to travel too but too bad, she doesn't have money to do so. Therefore, she can just imagine her trips.

Pasta Zanmai @ Mid Valley..

I felt kind of boring last Friday, so I asked my ex-colleague for movie after work.. =P OMG, life is really boring… And I have weird dreams lately, which make me looks like a panda in the daytime.. 0.0" Anyway, when I asked them what they wanted to have that evening, all they answered was something expected –> "Anything.." So I picked somewhere that I’ve never been before.. =P We ended up in Pasta Zanmai..

Pasta Zanmai, located at the corner near Madam Kwan’s..

Actually, one of my friends commented that their foods aren’t good.. I just wanted to prove whether it’s true or not.. So I chose it.. Ngahaha~ My two friends turned =.=" when I told them what was in my mind.. XD

Chopsticks… Wah, so hygienic~ =P

The restaurant isn’t that spacious though.. And it was very packed and noisy when we went.. The lighting was quite deemed, suitable for dating (minus the noisiness.. =P) The service was quite good, very attentive I should say.. =)

The ambience quite good la, if there aren’t too many customers..

The choices of food available were quite a lot regardless the appetizers, mains or desserts.. We really had a hard time deciding what to have.. =D’

Air liuh~ Meleleh leleh~~~~~ When looking at the menu~ XD

We shared a pot of refillable Green Tea for RM3.. Green tea is a must have when having Japanese meal, OK? XD We ended up refilled for n times.. =P

Fuu yoh, I love Green Tea..

Since QY wanted to digoreng sotong very much, he chose a squid appetizer to be shared, called the Surume Ika (RM18).. Hmm, they were just normal slices of squid which were a little bit salty and quite chewy.. Tasted better with lemon squeezed..

Big squids… Not a squid fan though..

For main, I opted for one of my favourites Japanese dish, the unagi~~ XD I had the Unagi Kabayaki with Onsen Tamago (RM23).. It came with spaghetti and I love Onsen Tamago.. It made the pasta tasted really fragrant.. Simple yet tasty.. The unagi slices were quite soft and sweet, the portion was just nice to pair with the pasta… Overall, I like this one.. XD

Onsen Tamago!!! *drool* Thumbs up!!

The terrorist QY had unagi as well.. But his was with rice and he opted for the set(RM20) one..

The complete Unagi Set.. RM20, I think worth it ler..

Wow, looks nice huh? The set came with Miso soup and a small bowl of salad.. They have to mix Japanese and Western’s styles anyway, so a typical unagi don set has to have salad to make it looks more ang moh.. 0.0"

Salad as appetizer before eating Unagi.. Muahaha, weird combination~

The unagi was very very similar to the one I had… Maybe they cooked them together and separated them into two dishes..

Sayonara~ Unagi-san~ *Chew* *Chew* *Chew*

SC pulak had the pasta + pizza.. Can’t recall exactly its name.. Teriyaki with some Pizza (RM22)? It’s the Teriyaki Pasta with Onsen Tamago.. Very similar to mine as well..

Can see anything from this photo ar? Too near already.. =P

And she could choose either Ebi or Hotate Pizza.. (If I’m not mistaken..) She chose the Hotate one (Very small ones.. T.T) The pizza base was those crunchy ones.. With seaweed, some unknown grass-like vegetable slices and sauce tasted like Thousand Island.. QY said it tasted weird.. I think it was fine, just a little bit oversalty.. =)

Crunchy pizza, I likey~ XD

Overall, we were quite pleased with the food and service.. But some might think it is little bit pricey… I think once in a while, it’s still OK~ And oh yea, we didn’t really enjoy the movie (Race to the Witch Mountain).. It was…. ordinary and plain…. Or was it because we were too sleepy?
