It’s another lazy weekend!!! Ouch, I’m so tired~ Need to sleep more during weekends.. =P I went for a double birthday celebration with my ex-colleagues on last Friday.. It was Kiat Chyi and Mok’s birthdays.. Their birthdays actually fell on April, but we celebrated them earlier.. XD Our venue for this time was Khuntai in Jalan Gasing, organized by Angeline.. =)

Angeline told us that they would leave at 6:30pm sharp, if she didn’t see us, she would assume that we go by our own.. I was scared to be dumped, so I reached there on time.. T.T Then I received an SMS from Angeline: "Hmm, still bz-ing.. Everyone is still upstairs.." @.@" I was cheated.. So QY came to bring me to the office while waiting for them.. Hmm, this was the first time I entered AIGGS again after I left few months back.. Now I know how much I miss the place.. I miss AIGGS office… T.T The boring yet exciting place.. (Opps, why is the contradiction?) It’s really great to see everyone~~~

 

Anyway, we only left the AIGGS at 7++pm.. -.-" Plus the jam, we reached Khuntai at 7:30++pm.. It was a regular non-air conditioned restaurant by the road side.. It wasn’t crowded when we reached but it was packed not long after that.. Angeline ordered a set dinner (I think it’s for 10 persons? It costs RM188 anyway..) It came with free drink, which is kedondong juice.. Hmm, tried to google it for its name, something amra, umbra or whatever.. Haha.. It was very greenish and sour~ >.<" We thought free drinks –> unlimited.. Who knows it’s only free for one jug.. And we happily refilled it.. =.=" Refilling the drink itself cost us RM20.. -.-"

The kedondong juice… Sour sour sour… >.<" My tongue became numbed after few glasses of this..

 

The set includes appetizer.. A weird one.. Came with some leaves…

So we mix all these ingredients and put them onto the leave.. Roll and eat… Oh yea, came with sweet sauce as well… I don’t like it.. Tasted weird.. QY ate the leave itself.. I knew he’s a hamster, I knew that.. XD

Another appetizer was the mango salad which I didn’t fancy too much as well.. It was quite sour, nothing too special about it..

Then came another appetizer.. 0.0" So many appetizers.. This one was great.. It’s deep fried kangkung (or other vegetables, I don’t know).. It was very crispy and fragrant.. I had a lot of that.. XD

Doesn’t look appetizing but tasted very good!!

 

First main dish to come was the steamed fish.. We initially thought of waiting for another friend who was late.. So we took photos of the food first.. Who knows this guy FFK-ed us at the end.. -.-" We took photos until one of the guys said "The food are for display only, not for makan one.. T.T" Haha.. Anyway, the fish was very clear, almost tasteless if eat without the sweet and sour sauce.. Quite fresh though..

The otak-otak dish came right after the fish.. There were fish, squids and prawns in the otak-otak.. Very fragrant and flavourful.. I didn’t like the fish (Maybe because too much of the steamed one), but the squids weren’t too bad.. =)

The best dish of the night was this… Belacan fried rice? It was very fragrant again, and the meat went well with the rice.. Yummy, I had a lot of this, but there was stil leftover at the end.. The guys were suck at whacking food.. =.="

Then was this Green Curry Chicken.. Ouch, I didn’t like it.. I don’t like the minty green curry taste.. For me, it tasted like minyak angin.. 0.0" Some said it was quite good, flavourful.. Different people, different preferences.. =P

The next dish was this big pot of Tom Yum.. Fuuh, it looked really tempted when it first arrived on the table.. Too bad, it’s a disappointment.. I think the soup was a little bit too thick and sweet.. Not too much of spiciness.. Sweet tom yum, anyone? >.<"

An ordinary dish then.. Fried Egg with somekind of unidentified vegetables.. =P Normal lor, what else can I say about this kind of dish? =P There were these fried fish cakes or fillets sort of dish as well.. But the photos I got were quite blur, so I decided not to put them up.. But they were quite good.. Crispy~ XD

We had a great night definitely.. As Kiat Chyi commented in the Facebook, life without this bunch of friends is really boring.. XD Too bad that we sat separately at two tables as our group was really huge.. T.T Jeff yeh happily sat with the girls, became their ji mui (sister).. Don’t play play, the girls table finished all the dishes.. Mission impossible.. XD

The Wai Sik Tuen’s girls.. Really fulfilled the requirement.. =P

 

Whereas the table I was at ended up with many leftovers.. =.=" Our table was occupied by mostly guys, and yet they couldn’t finish those food.. What a waste.. Maybe they talked too much until stomach masuk angin, full with gas… =P Anyway, I’m looking forward for the next Wai Sik Tuen’s makan session.. ^^ Last but not least, Happy Birthday in Advance to Kiat Chyi, Mok and also Siah!! =)

Me, Angeline and the guys in Wai Sik Tuen.. Tsk tsk tsk.. How can these guys join WST when they eat so less?
