Hey all~ I don’t know why I just like to neglect my blog~ XD Anyway, some updates on food this time.. Long time didn’t do this.. =P
My Dad had often mentioned to me that there is this wan tan mee shop in Taman Desa which is very nice.. I think he spent almost everyday at that area, so he knows well about it.. On my Dad’s birthday last month, we had our breakfast at this shop, Sing Kee as my Dad needed to go to the site that day.. It was my first time in Taman Desa.. I didn’t know there are so many eateries there.. XD
Sing Kee, located at the stretch of shoplots in Taman Desa..
I thought it was good… So I suggested to my colleagues and we have been there for twice for lunch.. They said that it was so-so but I thought it was good la (Maybe because of my first experience there, my Dad ordered the right thing.. XD) The roasted pork (Siew Yuk) was nothing special.. I’m never a fan of Siew Yuk anyway.. The skin was quite crunchy and the meat was juicy enough.. Never ask me to comment on Siew Yuk actually… I don’t know how to rate it.. =P
Siew Yuk.. Looks appetizing leh? But I don’t really fancy them..
This shop is quite famous with their roasted duck… The skin was very thin, fragrant and crispy.. Although I seldom eat duck, I thought it was slightly better than those sold outside..
Fuhh.. Shiny skins.. Better than my skin~ XD
The best thing of this place is the Char Siew.. Really it’s the best I’ve got so far.. You have to order for the half lean-fat with more burnt ones.. The burnt parts were really crunchy.. (I’ve never had something like this..) The Char Siew sauce was very sweet and sticky.. The meat was soft… OMG….. I really love it… Really "umpphhh" on every bite~ XD
Juicy Char Siew… Fuuhhh.. Drooling~
I paired the meats with dried noodle… The noodle was very bountiful and chewy.. I love this type of thin wan tan mee.. XD The sauce was ok, not too salty and flavourful.. XD Overall, I’m satisfied with it..
The one I had was plain one.. This photo was taken from another occasion which I had the Wan Tan Mee there..
It was 1++pm and the Wu Kok (Yam Dumplings?) are ready!!!! My Dad mentioned that their pastries are nice too.. So me and my colleague tried them while they were still hot.. Hmm, it was quite disappointed actually.. Although the skin were deep fried crispily, But I think the yam was too…… how to say……. padat? =P And the pork filling wasn’t sweet at all.. I like the sweeter type… >.<" I had a nicer one this morning from Jalan Ipoh.. XD
The Wu Kok was very huge.. 0.0"
