ABOUT ME

Yumika Alina's Facebook profile

My name is Yumika. I was born on the 11th of February 1986 which makes me 23 years old this year (I'm so old T.T). I just started to lead a donkey life as a Trainee Software Engineer.. Since I am only a trainee, I am still very poor. Yumika is a boring person who sits with her laptop almost 24/7 watching dramas, animes and busybody-ing on others' blogs. She loves to eat very much which makes her looks rounder and rounder day by day. Btw, she is craving for pastas recently (and always). Yumika loves to travel too but too bad, she doesn't have money to do so. Therefore, she can just imagine her trips.

Dessert’s Bar @ Hartamas Shopping Centre

It has been long since I purposely went out for nice food.. Life has been boring lately, sticking with the same old types of meal.. Living poorly lately.. T.T YChen has been telling me about this Dessert’s Bar that sells sweet stuffs after she read some reviews about it.. We had been talking about it and at last we got to visit one of its outlets..

The cute menu~

There are few outlets around.. Casa Tropicana, Subang Parade, Mont Kiara, Hartamas and Menara Hap Seng.. We chose the one in Hartamas as it’s nearer to us, but the problem was that we didn’t know how to drive to Hartamas from my place.. So we tried our luck.. Fortunately we found our way there and it is freaking near.. =P

*drool* A menu that is full with desserts!!!

We looked at the menu and had a tough time deciding what to order.. XD I think we looked at the menu for at least 10 to 15 minutes.. Too many choices, all looked so good.. =P Anyway, there’s a bar at the center of the cafe, looks very exclusive.. =P

The red dessert bar.. =)

It was almost empty when we reached.. Maybe it was too early for desserts.. The cafe area was definitely a comfortable and cozy one.. Almost all the seats are couch type, and we sat at a corner that can view to other floors.. =)

I love couches! =D

We ordered one for each type to share since we only wanted to try the stuffs there.. I chose Vanilla Mango Soy Milk Smoothie (RM8.80) for my drink.. It was super substantial, milky and creamy.. It was too thick for my liking although it was really fragrant.. I hardly could finish the drink, it was like sucking some cream instead.. XD

One sip and my face turned >.<".. Although it looked healthy..

For cake, YChen chose to order Stawberry Charlotte (RM7.80).. It was very soft, a little sour like yogurt.. We thought it was quite good, portion not too big, good for us to share.. =)

Nice.. I like the soft texture.. =)

YChen seems anticipated for the crepe a lot, so she decided for that.. She chose the Caramel Banana (RM8) which I thought was good! THe crepe was thin and fragrant, although it was slightly over-soft.. The caramel sauce wasn’t too sweet, just nice to pair with the banana slices.. I like it..

This was good, although the caramel sauce looked a bit like peanut butter spread.. =P

There is this value meal offered by the cafe, between 12pm to 4pm.. With any of the sandwiches or wraps ordered, there will be a glass of free smoothies.. So we decided to get one of them too.. We ordered Sauteed Mushroom Wrap, as we thought it would be quite hard to cut and share a sandwich.. The wrap was good too.. It was filled with mushroom (of course la), with sliced onion and tomato.. Very flavourful, not too heavy, I thought it was nice.. =D

Chose Honey Mustard sauce.. Not bad.. XD

YChen had a glass of Apple Smoothie to go with the sandwich.. The smoothie was very thick, could see that they really blended it with many apples.. It turned brownish after it was left for a while.. It still tasted better than the vanilla mango.. =P

Full with green apples.. :D

I insisted to order the Bread and Butter Pudding (RM5.80), one of my favourite desserts all the time.. I can’t recall since when it became my favourite, but I would definitely order it whenever I saw it on the menu.. It can be very sucked if it’s not nicely done.. This one was OK.. Not to say bad but I had better ones somewhere.. It wasn’t as fragrant as I thought it would be..

The Bread and Pudding, with a small jar of butter milk.. =)

They separated the butter milk with the bread.. The bread wasn’t too soft, and the butter was just nice, not too sweet… But I still thought it lacked of something… Hmm.. Wonder.. The feel~ =P

Not too big piece.. :D

Last but not least, the best dessert of the day.. The Mango Pudding with Lemon Sorbet (RM8).. I LOVE the sorbet.. I was sweet (not too much) and sour.. Very refreshing, and super good to pair with the mango sauce/cubes.. We both eyed on this the whole time.. Finished in minutes.. XD The mango pudding in it was good too although I’m not a pudding fan.. It wasn’t too soft..

This is superb!! Extremely recommended.. XD

Overall, we were satisfied with the sweet stuffs today.. XD I think we ordered too much, or we chatted too much.. The desserts stayed too long on the table that they turned soft… =P We will definitely back for more, or at least, I will.. XD

The two satisfied fat girls.. =P
